Hi. I’m Sally-Jayne. I’m a qualified teacher with over 15 years’ experience of tutoring. During my career I have taught in a variety of different settings: state mainstream, independent schools, special schools and even at one of Birmingham’s Universities.
I tutor all ages from 7 up to retired adults but regardless of the age, I always ensure my students feel at ease.
I have a patient and friendly approach, and I like my lessons to be enjoyable as well as helpful so that my students look forward to them instead of seeing them as a chore. We work together to identify the areas that need work, and I then tailor each session for each individual pupil, taking into consideration their personality, interests, strengths and preferred learning style.
As well as my first degree and PGCE, I have additional level 2 qualifications in BSL (British sign language), understanding autism, and understanding specific learning difficulties. I am experienced in working with neurodiverse children and adults.
